There are three basic types of rolling counter doors Overhead Door offers—metal curtain, wood curtain and integral frame and sill.
Metal and Wood Curtain Rolling Counter Doors: Overhead Door’s rolling counter doors are available with a 24-month limited warranty and come in large sizes to accommodate unique needs. The largest size is 20 feet in width and 9 feet in height.
Integral Frame and Sill Rolling Counter Doors: These doors are a little smaller, with a maximum width of 12 feet, 4 inches and a maximum height of 6.
There are also fire rated counter doors available for buildings with certain requirements:
Metal and Wood Curtain Fire Rated Counter Doors: These doors are ideal for openings requiring a counter-type fire rated door. Common applications include factories, schools, concessions, hospitals, cafeterias and retail settings. Labeled with either a 3-hour Class A rating for masonry applications, or a 1-1/2-hour Class B label in non-masonry fire walls, these doors are designed to expand upward in a fire, allowing the guides to be installed flush with the sill. Their compact, box-like form also provides an attractive finished appearance that requires minimum side room.
Integral Frame and Sill Fire Rated Counter Doors: Integral frame and sill counter fire rated doors provide a handsome finished appearance for a variety of applications, including food service counters. Available for opening sizes up to 9 feet x 4 feet, these doors carry a UL 1-1/2-hour Class B label and are factory assembled as a complete unit with fully welded frames.
